SIRUM is a national nonprofit reimagining medicine access. We seamlessly coordinate they collection and delivery of unused, surplus medication to communities, all for no or low cost.
Our new special initiative aims to increase the availability of over-the-counter emergency contraceptives (EC) to people in need. Available EC expires December 1, 2024 or later. Scroll down to learn more or immediately request EC by clicking the button below.
SIRUM partners with clinical or community-based providers working with people who might need emergency contraceptive now or in the future. Recipients must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit or fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
How It Works
1
Determine your need.
SIRUM send out batches of EC on a quarterly basis. Once you set an amount, you can update it, but try and decide how many units you could use during a quarter to start out with.
2
Request EC from SIRUM.
Gather some information and fill out our form here. You select your quarterly amount as well as fill in demographic and contact information.
3
SIRUM confirms your order.
Once we receive your request, we will confirm with you that we have everything we need and initiate the order.
4
Pay for your order.
If cost is not a barrier we will send you an email requesting a small admin fee to cover handling costs.
5
Receive your EC.
Depending on your location, you should receive your medications in about a week. We will auto-initiate quarterly orders unless you tell us otherwise -- so feel free to reach out!
